Company Description

AFRY has Nordic roots with global reach. Our shared principles – Result driven, Client centric, Empowering, and Accountable – guide us in how we work, develop, and succeed together. Job Description
We are looking for an experienced automation engineer to join our team! We are responsible for developing and commissioning automation solutions for our industrial customers and now need to strengthen our team with a reliable and skilled colleague.
At AFRY, you will handle varied tasks within industrial automation. In this role, you will work on system engineering and programming of PLC, HMI, SCADA, and robot applications. You will also participate in commissioning and troubleshooting of these systems, both on-site at customer locations and in project form from the office.
A typical work week can include everything from tender work and technical solution development to project work in teams or urgent troubleshooting at customer sites. In some cases, you may also be seconded to a customer to strengthen their organization.
We are looking for someone who wants to contribute their experience while being part of an engaged and helpful team. You will play an important role in creating stability and broadening competence in a section with a low average age. In the long term, there is an opportunity to develop towards specialist roles or become a broad technical resource and mentor for colleagues and customers – depending on your interests.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who finds it easy to collaborate with colleagues, suppliers, and subcontractors, and who communicates clearly and simply with everyone who needs information – or actively seeks it out when needed. You are stress-tolerant and maintain your calm even in pressured situations, while thinking logically and structured. Furthermore, you are ambitious and are happy to take a leading role in programming work without needing to be prompted – you drive the work forward with engagement and a sense of responsibility.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in programming within PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems
- Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
- Experience in troubleshooting and commissioning in industrial environments
Merits
- Experience in robot programming
- Knowledge of one or more of the following systems: ABB, Siemens, Allen Bradley, Intouch, Citect, Ignition
- English, both spoken and written
Additional Information
Welcome to apply; the deadline for applications is 2026-04-30. Selection is ongoing, and the position may be filled before the deadline.
